"I play for the United States of America!" The team truly unified Realizing the dreams of their coach Dreams suddenly attainable by belief in themselves A subdued nation taking notice, taking part One by one the games played out Challenge after challenge Victory after victory One by one belief in the dream grew "Great moments are born from great opportunity" Born to be hockey players Born for this moment in time "This is your time! The Dream was realized Maybe Miracles one and all But Miracle led to victory Victory led to hope Hope led to belief Belief in a team Belief in a nation Remember your dreams Believe in your dreams Become your dreams For you never know how many people are affected by your dreams As Coach Brooks said, "This is YOUR time, now go out there and take it!" 11/28/04 If you ever feel the need to be reminded of your patriotic spirit, the movie Miracle will help restore it. I was 11 when the U.S. beat Russia in the Olympics and even some 3,000 miles across the nation on a fuzzy television, you could not mistake the support and excitement as the crowd chanted "USA!. USA!. USA!". I heard it. I loved it. I will forever be indebted to that excitement. It inspired an interest in athletics and helped solidify my AMERICAN PRIDE!! |
