They Have Names lists those lost during the fight against terrorism showing some of how each of our heroes lived.
Remember
Ten years …
The need to look forward
To create a positive thought in recognition of the day is a driving force
But the mind is muddled and thoughts incoherent
Like a photographer desperately flipping through settings to achieve that ultimate picture… but met with little success…
For this week commemorate 9/11 by extending yourself a little extra
The “I Will...” project then will gain needed momentum
Take note of the waterfalls draping the footings of each tower
Dancing tears of hope so we may be proud of our lost, rather than desperate for their return
Touch a branch on the Pear tree that dare survive the crush of two burning buildings and thrive today
Allow life and renewal to take root
Thank those that are fire, police, ambulance, or military personnel
Remember not the agony and fear of the day…
But the flags that flew from every building, yard or briefcase …
Remember the unity and solidarity that turned passing neighbors into friends
The fire of the American Spirit that was NOT defeated in spite of a hate driven handful
The American Spirit is alive yet today…
We’ve but to reach out to renew that bond
Remember what we achieved that day…
