As the days and years have traveled by
Veterans Day has come once again
Again to remind us what is on the line
Our government
Our home
Our freedom
Over the years thousands of men and women have stepped forward defending our way of life
What we truly hold dear
As we hold our way of life dear
It is necessary to hold these soldiers dear
Through the hot and cold
The dust of the desert
They have not let us down
As these soldiers devoted their lives for our country,
For each of us
May we each remember that
And never let our devotion to the American Soldier die
For far too many of our warriors have fallen
Too many families have but a flag to hold
The devotion must hold fast
The devotion must be true
True to the American people
True to the American way of life
An echoing devotion from soldier to citizen
For without it
What would they come home to?
